Robert was first introduced to Brooklyn in 1999 when visiting his future wife, Sarah, who grew up in Bay Ridge and Park Slope. He first began to enjoy Brooklyn for its neighborhood feel, great cafes, subway and bus system, and accessible parks. Robert married Sarah in 2002, finished seminary and a church planting internship, and moved to Brooklyn in 2005 with Sarah to start a church in Williamsburg. Robert and Sarah enjoy Saturday mornings in local cafes where they eat muffins and drink coffee. They frequently venture through Williamsburg visiting local parks, boutiques, and second-hand stores.
